Hede Nielsen Family Foundation

The purpose of the foundation is, among other things, to provide support for cultural, scientific, social and educational purposes as well as other charitable purposes benefitting society which are deemed by the Board of Governors to be equally worthy. The foundation awards DKK 5-8 million annually. The distributions are typically between DKK 5,000-50,000.

The European Research Council (ERC) provides grants for international cutting-edge research projects of scientific excellence within all areas of research and topics.

Talented European scientists from all over the world can obtain support for conducting excellent research of the highest scientific quality. Support can be sought for research projects within all scientific areas and topics that can contribute to research breakthroughs for Europe. Scientific quality is the only evaluation criterion for the grant. Funding can be obtained for up to five years.
